Iranian Raisins

Iranian Raisins are the dried fruits of grapes. Iranian Raisins are known by different names depending on the type of the grapes,the method and conditions of drying and the permitted additives in them.

some of the most common Raisins produced in Iran are green and yellow Raisins and Sultana Raisins. Iran is one of the largest suppliers of Raisins in the world. Along with the United States and Turkey, Iran is one of the top three Raisin producing and exporting countries in the world.

Tizabi (Sultana) Raisin:

the Tizabi method is one of the method common Raisin-making methods in the world,which uses alkaline liquids. in this method outer surface of The grapes are  impregnated with chemicals such as sulfur to speed up the drying process. Tizabi Raisins are yellowish and light brown.

Golden Raisin:

seed less grapes which are dried with sulfur smoke in the shadow and the color is amber yellow.

Maviz Iranian Raisin:

grapes with seed and high sugar are used to make a special kind of raisins which

are called Maviz.
